Newsletter tracking
The Goll Consulting GmbH newsletters contain so-called tracking pixels. Tracking pixels are miniature graphics that are embedded in emails and are sent in HTML format to facilitate log file recording and log file analysis. This enables a statistical evaluation of the success or failure of online marketing campaigns to be carried out. With the embedded tracking pixel, Goll Consulting GmbH is able to see whether, and when, an email has been opened by a person in question and which of the links that are included in the email have been opened.
The personal data that is gathered from such tracking pixels that are embedded in the newsletter, is saved and evaluated by the controller, in order to optimise the newsletter and to customise the content of the newsletter more to the requirements of the recipient. This personal data is not forwarded to any third party. Newsletter recipients have the right to revoke the separate consent that they gave via the double-opt-in process at any time. Once revoked, the personal data will be deleted by the controller. Goll Consulting GmbH interprets unsubscribing the newsletter as an automatic revocation.
