We've all experienced it: Often conferences are merely speeches and presentation strung together, maybe pepped up with films and event elements. Listening is strenuous and exhausting. For the presenter objectives such as exchange of information, networking, common understanding, motivation and commitment for the implementation are paramount.
With expedient involvement and high dialog quality, groups of between 40 and 4,000 people can be won over for strategies and concepts and the common drive to implement can be strengthened. We call this kind of key event "dialog conference". Dialog conferences go above and beyond classical conferences. They facilitate efficient work with groups of all sizes and they utilize the know-how of all participants.
Goll dialog conferences include elements which are introduced top-down by the management and elements which are developed together bottom-up by the participants. It is important to use experience-driven methods such as creative visualization, dialog pictures, improvisational theatre, feedback theatre, team events, film and music.
Depending on the objective and the content, we differentiate between 4 different types of dialog conference:
For developing strategies and concepts or for resolving a specific problem with a selected circle of participants. They accelerate the strategy and concept work many times over in comparison to normal project work.
For the communication and implementation of changes that have been agreed such as a "new" strategy, new structures or as part of a merger, for example. They enhance the understanding for the change, they motivate the participants to help shape the change.
For the motivation and alignment of the company / division to specific objectives, e.g. kick-off conferences, annual conferences, sales meetings, product presentations. They provide orientation and strengthen the community spirit and the commitment to achieving the goals.
As a type of large group training for networked learning or as an innovation workshop. They combine the knowledge of many and promote the learning culture in terms of a learning organization.
